December 07, 2009

Has 2009 gone as you hoped it would? Did you achieve all of your personal and professional goals in 2009? If so, congratulate yourself. If not, the best time to properly plan is now as 2010 is just around the corner. A famous person once said, "If you don't know where you are going, you will end up somewhere else." Your seminar on 9/12/09 was very motivating. Now I can be more strategic in my goal setting, especially for my business success. I also left feeling better about my current position. You discussed how we are to set short-term and long-term goals with the expectancy of having to re-evaluate them as time passes. Thus, I will continuously track them to understand the pattern. I will no longer feel guilty. You also mentioned how we can hit the WALL. I now know this is an indication of getting closer to reaching that goal!

Andrew Yap has inspired me to do more in life as he makes me feel like there is so much to accomplish and that life has so much to offer. It's fascinating to listen to him talk as he is always willing to try something new or different regardless of the fear factor. New activities like shotgun shooting, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, and running a 26.2 mile marathon. Andrew completed his first marathon at Walt Disney World on January 13, 2008, without any training. When he crossed the finish line, I was speechless. I want the determination, the will, and the self-motivation that he possesses. He is amazing, selfless, compassionate, and possesses many of the qualities that are extraordinary. "I can't" is not in his vocabulary as he always says "Let’s Give It a Try Because I Know It Can Be Done.” I am simply amazed by his pure will to achieve new and challenging goals. Thank you Andrew for providing all of us with a wonderful role model!
